Fall Semester 2021 Blog Post 2: Reflections on my online presence

     As I am around the half way mark of this semester, there are some things that I wanted to share about my online presence. For instance, I am glad that I was able to create a simple website that displays my skillset that I can offer for anyone that is interested in getting to know me. In the beginning of the semester, I did not have too much of an online presence. As someone that isn't on social media, I did find the idea of putting myself online to be a bit nerve wracking. But as I was working on our previous assignment on creating our own website, I managed to feel a bit more comfortable with putting in my skill set and experience of my major. I find it pretty important, because this can be a gate way for anyone to get a potential job within their field, and if many people see the work and skills that you have, then it allows for many employers and anyone to be interested in who you are. I do plan on expanding my online presence by being able to take these skills that I have learned in class and applying them.

When it come to my experience, I will gladly share what I would have to offer. First example would be that I can be a great listener when it comes to getting a task completed. I was given many assignments for my programming classes and I was able to understand what the professors were requiring for us to implement. I would pass along that information and be very clear with what I am trying to convey. Second example would be that I am a team player. Working in a team is very crucial and important if I want to work on a software development team, so I believe that I can bring that to the table when it comes to working on team projects. Third example would be that I am able to adapt into a new environments. For example if I am given a task to learn something new, then I am able to pick up that new topic and be able to do some research and pick up that skillset.

Fall Semester 2021 Blog 1: My On-line Presence

 Hello! My name is Candy Acosta. I am a senior at Arizona State University majoring in Applied Computing. At the moment, my online presence is on a small scale. I am not on most mainstream social media for the most part. To answer the question of my current online presence, I would say that its on a small scale due to not utilizing social media in my day to day life. Although I do have a Linkedln and a Handshake profile. I plan on expanding both of my profiles so I am able to expand my social networks. I look forward to this semester and I can't wait to learn more about networking and taking in advice from my peers on expanding my on-line presence.
